Date: 080110. Location: N36 46' 37.34" E137 48' 13.32" South face Norikura Dake. Size 2. Start zone 2200m, 35-40 degrees. Terminus in bottom runout. Track 400m long, 50m wide. Alpha angle: 20 degrees. Trigger: Natural - cornice failure during heavy snow (S4) and strong winds.  I was camping in the area and heard it during the night from my tent. The next day I ascended two thirds of the slide path (below the start zone and flanks) and performed a compression test. Results: CTE(10) @ 20cm RP, CTH(25) @ 50cm SP.
