09 Jan - small snow

I do not have any first hand reports from the backcountry today, and am a little pressed or time anyhow. A small snow event has rolled into the valley, and there may be patchy snow for the coming days, however overall... kind of clear and cold. Good for exploration, good for seeing our greater mountain range, good for traveling longer distances without the hassle of trail breaking in deeper snow, yet still quality skiing. Life is not lift served. Get out there. Keep an eye out for the low altitude late Dec rain crust, shallow in places.
