After yesterday's good tour to Korenge Dake ridge (2600m), I returned for a second helping, this time on a snowboard and with a team of three backcountry tourers from Finland. The Fins I have meet so far this season (and in the past in Chamonix) have really impressed me. Great people.
We arrived at the ridge summit just in time to catch some footage of some very regular backcountry characters and local guides on their day off work, all very nice Japanese guys.
I'll just post three simple video clips for now of the Japanese guys and perhaps later on a few pictures from my Finnish friends, who where equipped with very fancy cameras (edit: a few pictures have been added below on 11 Jan)
Today was possibly the best day in the mountains for me this season. You just can't beat a snowboard in powder, and we rode 700 vertical meters of it. Big smiles and big exclamations of joy.
