Early winter touring

I went for a casual tour with Yanis today. The aim was to check out the coverage behind Tsugaike and start planning some tours put that way when the weather improves and snow consolidates a little more. There is a bit to be had right now however it doesn't look like we will get it before the next storm rolls in.

We had nice boot deep powder on a supportive base, although with unreliable vis we stuck to an area that is easy to access... and unfortunately more sticks and scrub in the way until the snow depth quadruples. Yanis picks his way through on his new Prior swallow tail split board. It rode well.
