20100215 weather data for the 24 hours to 5.30am at 800m

Previous Day Field Observations:

Yesterday in Hakuba's backcountry - winds stripped the Tengupara region clean of soft snow and left a combo f ice crust, wind pack and some sun moistened grabby patches. Not good skiing at all.

The rain crust buried on Feb 11 is only 10-20cm deep below 2200m and depending on aspect. Strong sun created a new crust on solar aspects during the day. This will be buried today as the forecast snow arrives.
