Missing the heat

Due to a combination of circumstances I am not in Japan for the peak of summer. Although I would much rather be there with the people important to me, I can't say that I am upset about missing the 35C / 95% conditions.

Northern Europe and the Alps are having a cool summer with a lot of rain. It’s nice. The glaciers are in much better condition than the last few summers. Ski touring (and resort skiing) is still possible, although the crevasses are wide open or barely covered. The touring probably isn't worth the effort and risk.

My house hunting plans have been set back again, and that is the most frustrating thing.
