Field Observations:
- Hakuba Avalanche Control Team avalanche bulletin here. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Please note the date! the bulletin is often very behind current conditions and only useful if it was published on the day you read it.
- Japan Avalanche Network field data for Hakuba backcountry here. This requires more training to interpret, but usually has recent data. But again, pay close attention to the date data was gathered.
No touring yesterday - nothing to report from Hakuba Backcountry.
Winds have eventually picked up here in Hakuba with consistent 15-20m/s recorded at 2100m. With some snow overnight and previous storm snow available for transport I'd be expecting some windslab formation.
