Another early morning in our hut.  7am and the weather for the last 24 hours switched from warm and melting yesterday (with snow fall above 1700m) to heavy snow overnight.  Freezing level is below 500m, constantly heavy snowfall is forecast for at least 3 days and the barometer has fallen to an all time low for the season of 893mbar at 860m asl.  Moderate to strong winds up high with light winds in the valley.
