Tenki Diary 9 Dec 07

18cm new snow overnight (HN24), much more than forecast for 860m. Came down very dense, 9% water. Will be much lighter at 2000m. Still no car so no Tsugaike BC today, rather Mio and I are up to Goryu for some exercise on the resort grounds and to dig a few profiles – see if this additional load has had on last week’s ice crust interface at about 30cm below the surface.  Yesterday we spent a few hours on foot furthering our recon into the best ascent route of a big hill range behind my house.
