It was a very good day of backcountry touring.  Matsumoto-san from Rappies in Hakuba led the way today with a few great lines down stable cold north facing powder.  10cm new overnight in the valley and 30+ higher up.  This photo taken a few weeks ago shows the general area of our interest today, although our actual line is partially obscured from the summit and then behind the biggest ridge.  It snowed all day and teh line were ridden long and fast without stopping.  400m vert, 35 degrees the whole way.

Great weather is forecast so Mio and I are heading up for a few days camping around 2000m hopefully a good descent from around 2600m.
